The eSkills Alliance Malta has been announced by Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA) a Government agency .The Alliance includes industry bodies, such as the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry,and the Malta Employers Association, the eSkills Alliance Malta Strategic Plan 2010 - 2011 (PDF, 627 Kbytes). Unfortunately like many such government documents, the strategic plan is so badly formatted as to be difficult to read and use online. I suggest a first step for the alliance should be to publish a readable version of their plan, thus demonstrating some competence in ICT. The next step might be to look at using global standards for ICT professionalism, such as those from IP3. A later step would be the consistent use of e-learning.
