Blogging the World Computer Congress 2010

The World Computer Congress 2010 is being held in Brisbane, 20 to 23 September 2010. I will be speaking on "Teaching sustainable ICT competencies", 12 noon, 23 September 2010. Also I have been asked to blog the conference. Working out how to describe a conference with 19 conference streams about 100 industry speakers and 450 research speakers and could be a little difficult.

Brisbane
Also there is Brisbane to introduce. As someone who was borne and grew up in Brisbane, it is easy to forget the venue. The Congress venue is the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre at South Bank, on the southern bank of the Brisbane River, opposite the CBD. Nearby is the Queensland Cultural Centre with the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Museum, Queensland Art Gallery, and my favourite, the State Library of Queensland.
