E-learning to Reduce the Education Divide

Greetings from the final plenary session of the Innovation in Education Showcase at the Ethel Tory Centre of the Australian National University in Canberra. Earlier, Senator Gary Humphries,  related his experience as a student at the ANU 30 years ago, when most assignments were handwritten and documents were provided in the library on microfilm and contrasted it with today. He pointed out that while introducing new technology we need to keep the social element of university alive. This theme was then up by Alexander Hayes in the last presentation, speaking on the Socio ethical implications of location enabled body wearable technologies. Earlier in the week I presented on "A Green Computing Professional Education Course Online using eBooks".
