Want to hear about staff and student experiences of using Web 2.0 in their course this semester? Then register for this mini-symposium and learn how we brought together around 20 courses across two colleges to explore the use of externally hosted web services in class teaching and learning activities.

Here's some of our coverage:

  • Description of the different models teachers adopted for class use of wikis, blogs and social networking
  • Student feedback and experiences, including a student panel (yay!)
  • Student and staff support needs
  • 'Safe sex' on the internet: dealing with issues of copyright, IP, data security, privacy, risk, marketing, insurance, indemnity, and jurisdiction
  • Technical issues: staff and student competencies
  • Reflection and evaluation -- where and what next?
