Department of Defence Hot Issue Briefs

The Australian Department of Defence has issued a series of "Hot Issue Briefs", originally written for the submitted to the Minister for Defence. These are two to four page summaries of issues the Minister is likely to be based about by the media, with suggested responses he can make. Some of the briefs have been withheld or had parts blacked out (redacted), but most have the full text and are useful for seeing defence thinking on an issue and how such briefs are written. Most of the broefs concern alleged improper conduct by military personnel, but some are about problems with weapons systems. One series of briefs concerns the viability of the F-35 and radar cross-section of the F-35A aircraft.
