Just a Knife and the Internet Needed for Terrorism

Greetings from the Realm Hotel, where Tim Turner Chair of the Australian Computer Society Canberra Branch, just opened the ACS Canberra Conference. He commented that technology is ethically neutral, but professionals could not be. One example was that now just a knife and the Internet was needed for terrorism. FPCON CHARLIE  (Force Protection Condition "C"). This requires increased security checks and limited access. This is admittedly a minor inconvenience, but an effect of Internet transmitted terrorism in Canberra.
