Greetings from the Relam Hotel in Canberra where
Andrew Barr, MLA, ACT Treasurer, is speaking to the conference dinner. He said "The 9 to 5 ACT government shop-front has a limited future" commenting that it costs $5 to $10 per translation for face to face service. On-line alternatives will require an upfront investment, but make savings in the long term. He saw a growth area in federal government investment in security in the ACT in coming years. The ACT Government also wants more data open access, with a combined public and private cloud service.
