Tasmanian NBN provider Internode has announced that in addition to higher upload speeds on its existing Internet service, it will also offer customers the option of a slower 12/1 MBPS (and presumably cheaper) service. The 12 MBPS basic service should be popular as it is still fast enough for most home Internet uses, including
High Definition video streaming (HD IP TV).
