Award-winning architect Aldo Giurgola, will reflect on his design for the Australian Parliament House and its integration into Walter Burley Griffin’s original concept from 1912 for the national capital, 2pm, 14 November 2010, at the National Archives of Australia in Canberra:

Join a fascinating discussion with the award-winning architect of Australia’s Parliament House, Aldo Giurgola and colleagues Hal Guida and Pamille Berg. They will reflect on the challenges and opportunities of designing a building of such significance that also needed to integrate with Walter Burley Griffin’s original concept from 1912 for the national capital.

A highlight will be the opportunity to view original drawings by both Aldo Giurgola and Marion Mahony Griffin.
