Senator Lundy Minister Assisting for Industry and Innovation

Changes to the Ministry, announced by the Prime Minister today, include Senator Kate Lundy as Minister Assisting for Industry and Innovation, as well as Minister for Sport and Minister for Multicultural Affairs. The Industry and Innovation Portfolio includes a wide range of topics. On the Industry side, there is the Book Industry Strategy Group (BISG) looking at the effect of eBooks on Australia's book indsutry, the Information Technology Industry Innovation Council which does not appear to have done much of consistence since being formed (perhaps it could look at the IT skills shortage). On the innovation side, there is Powering Ideas: An Innovation Agenda for the 21st Century.
